Astronomy at Duxford and Picnic
A visit to Duxford Air Museum 10.00am to 1.00pm (Parents welcome)
Meet by the main entrance for 10.00am start. We will be there from 9.45am for parents dropping off their children who must be aged 7 years or older, they must sign them in and leave a mobile contact number and make sure their children have a picnic. We will tour 3 of the hangers (where the astronomy is) stopping half way round for our picnic and a (non-astronomical) simulator ride. The cost of the ride is included in the child ticket price, adults wishing to have a ride pay Brian extra on the day.
At 12.40pm our astronomical tour finishes by the American hanger, children with parents can then do their own thing for the rest of the day and visit the other areas and hangers not covered by our tour. We will escort the unaccompanied children back to the main entrance for 1.00pm. Parents collecting these children, should remember that to get to the exit they have to pass through the shop. They can bring money if they wish, so some may be delayed a few minutes!!
Tickets! Prices for pre-booked tickets are subsidized by the CAA, and you are welcome to bring family and friends. Please note children must be 7 years or over.
- Child CAA member £6
- Child non-member £8
- Adult CAA member £12
- Adult non-member £14
If you do not prebook then you will have to pay the full entry price on the day, which is £17.10 per adult and £8.55 per child (and that will not include the simulator ride), so its well worth booking in advance.
