Cambridge AstroPlus

Probing the depths of the Universe
Monday 7th March 2022
Start time : 19:15

Speaker : CAA

From the ancient Greeks trying to work out the distance to the Sun and Moon to the remotest galaxy currently seen by the Keck 1 telescope.

We shall be looking at how astronomers used telescopes and other instruments to find distant objects.

Will the new James Webb Space Telescope push the boundaries even further?

Cambridge AstroPlus welcomes any of our members over the age of 11 to attend.

These Cambridge AstroPlus talks are presented by members of the CAA.
