The Death of Stars

After spending most of the lives using up their nuclear fuel, there comes a time when fuel gauge reads zero, which spells disaster for the star. Bigger stars tend to die in a spectacular supernova explosion, while smaller stars end the lives with more of a whimper.

We'll be looking at the various types of stars and the way they finish their lives, including a type that was recently discovered.
