In Earth Orbit On the 4th October 1957 Sputnik was launched (at 7.28pm, so almost exactly 64 years ago!) into orbit around the Earth. Since the more than 11 000 have been launched with many more planned. While many look down on the Earth, others look out into space using many frequencies to answer some of the mysteries of the Universe. From now on the Cambridge AstroPlus incorporates the previous Cambridge Young Astronomers 11+ Group and also officially welcomes any of our members over the age of 11 to attend. This is a Zoom Presentation from the Cambridge Astronomical Association Otherwise, to get Zoom - follow these instructions
