"Herschel to Hawkwind"

How space and music have been intertwined from stone age times to present day.

A talk with music demonstrating how Music and The Heavens have been intertwined in many scenariosAbout our speaker:

Pete Williamson FRAS is an Astronomer & Musician having worked in the music industry for 45 years and now working as a full time astronomer with Cardiff University on the Erasmus European Project, with The BBC as an astronomical correspondent, with Faulkes Telescope Project as imaging consultant and as a freelance speaker across the UK and Ireland. Pete recently had the honour of delivering a 50th Anniversary Apollo speech at The Lord Mayor of London’s Royal Livery Banquet at Mansion House London being the principal speaker. Astronomy has been a passion after first making his own telescope and grinding the mirror in 1967 at the age of 11, becoming a Fellow of The Royal Astronomical Society in the early 90’s and making this his profession in 2013.
