The Apollo 11 film shows the mission of Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins from launch preparations on 16th July 1969 to splashdown and recovery 8 days later.
This amazing 93 minute film uses some unseen footage shot on high resolution 70mm film that had been laying forgotten in the National Archives for nearly 50 years. Apollo 11 consists only of film shot at the time, with no added narration, no cut-away interviews and no re-creations and nearly all of the voices you hear are just the astronauts and those at mission control. The film was met with great approval from the critics and the public soon voted it the best documentary of all times (IMdb), and it is best seen on a giant screen!
