The Colours of Stars
Saturday 23rd February 2019
Start time : 10:00

Speaker : CAA

With Orion now riding high in the evening sky, you can see the difference in colours between Betelgeuse which shines with an orangey tint compared to the brilliant white of Rigel and nearby Sirius.

The different colours of the stars tell us a lot about what is happening to them.

We shall also be answering the question "Why are there no green stars?"
